What we collect
When you use the contact form or email us: your name, email address, and anything else you choose to give, such as your firm's name, a phone number and your message.
When you use the brief builder: nothing. The brief is created in your browser and is not sent to us unless you choose to email it.
When you browse the site: our hosting provider's servers record standard technical information, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in server logs used for security and troubleshooting. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers on this site.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry
- To prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, to manage the project
- To keep the site secure and stop spam
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have separately asked to hear from us.
Spam protection on the contact form
To stop automated spam, the contact page records a one-way coded version of the IP address each message is sent from, with the time, for up to 24 hours. The coded value cannot practically be turned back into your IP address without our secret key. Records older than 24 hours are deleted automatically each time the contact page is used. The page also sets a session cookie, described on our cookies page.
Who else handles it
- Our hosting provider, which runs the servers this site and its contact form use.
- Our email provider, which delivers and stores the messages you send us.
These providers handle information on our behalf. If you would like to know where your information is stored, ask us and we will tell you.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any project that follows, and then delete them unless we need to keep them for accounting or legal reasons.
Security
The site uses HTTPS, the contact form sends messages by authenticated email, and messages are not stored on the web server. Access to the mailbox that receives enquiries is limited to the people who reply to them.
Your choices
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@lawquendrix.site. We will respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first and we will try to resolve it. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Please do not send confidential matter details
We are a web design studio, not a law firm. Please do not send us confidential information about any client or legal matter.
Changes
If we change this notice, we will update the date shown at the top of the page.
